1. What makes bamboo toothbrushes eco-friendly/sustainable?
Bamboo plants take very little time to grow and with their anti-microbial composition they do not need fertilizers or pesticides to aid their growth, therefore made with all organic ingredients. They’re 100% biodegradable and so release no harmful toxins into the environment if left in landfill.
2. What is the difference between detergent, disinfectant and sanitiser?
A cleaning detergent is used on surfaces to remove dirt however it does not kill any bacteria that could have been on the surface. A disinfectant kills bacteria however does not remove dirt. A sanitiser kills bacteria as well as cleans effectively due to it being a containing both a cleaning agent and sanitising element.

4. Why should I choose a shampoo and conditioner bar over liquids?
Although they make take some getting used to if your used to liquid shampoos and conditioners, there are many benefits to using bar alternatives. Shampoo and conditioner bars tend to last a lot longer. They usually come in plastic-free packaging compared to liquids with tend to come in a plastic bottle. They are free of detergent based ingredients found in most liquid shampoos. Our shampoo and conditioner bars are made from all-natural ingredients, giving your scalp a break from substances like sulphates usually used in liquid shampoos.
5. What makes the Loofco Washing Up Pads and Loofahs eco-friendly?
The Loofco Washing Up Pads and Loofahs are made from natural Loofah Plant. Loofah, also known as luffa or lufah, is the fruit of a tropical vine grown for use as a kitchen or bath sponge, and in some places as an edible vegetable.
6. What makes bamboo toilet roll eco-friendly?
Bamboo is more sustainable than trees as it takes less time to grow, it uses land efficiently, and doesn’t use fertilizer or pesticides. It can also be water efficient depending on the climate. Bamboo toilet roll generally comes wrapped in plastic-free packaging too.
7. How do toothpaste tablets work?
You simply chew, brush and go. When you bite into the tablet it breaks and reacts with the moisture inside your mouth causing the tablet to foam and create a paste for you to brush your teeth with.

Yes, all our trigger sprays and pump tops are 100% BPA free.
9. Is your packaging plastic-free?
Plastic-free packaging is our go to. We try to reuse packaging we’ve received where possible to reduce waste consumption however this can sometimes include plastic bubble wrap.
10. Why should I choose a reusable face mask?
A recent analysis done by Scientists at University College London shows that if everyone used one single use mask every day for a year it would create 66,000 tonnes of contaminated plastic waste. Reusable masks perform the same as single use masks and are also much more cost-effective.

12. Can we bring our own bottles from home to use at your refill station?
Yes! You can bring any bottle you have at home (glass, tin, plastic etc) and refill it with the cleaning solution of your choice. We also have 500ml glass bottles available to buy in store if you don’t have a bottle to bring from home.
13. Where do you source your products from?
Most of our products are sourced from within the UK except for just a couple being sourced from other countries.
14. Do you make your products yourself?
No, our products are not made by us however most of our products are made in the UK.
15. Are all your products vegan and cruelty free?
Most of our products are vegan and all are cruelty free.
16. What bottles are eco-friendly?
As eco-friendly alternatives to plastic bottles at TCC we have both glass and aluminium bottles.
17. How long do bamboo toothbrushes last?
With proper care a bamboo toothbrush should last for around 3 months.
18. What’s an eco-friendly alternative to single use cotton pads for washing and cleansing your face?
Reusable cotton makeup remover pads are a great alternative to their single use counterparts, they last a long time so are much more cost effective. At TCC we also have the Toockies Exfoliating Cloth and Heavenly Organics Muslin Cloth which both could also be used as eco-friendly alternatives to single use cotton pads.
19. How do wax food wraps work?
They’re so simple! They work exactly the same as foil and cling films. Just place your food in the wrap and using the heat of the palm of your hand to mould it around your food.
20. How long do vegan wax food wraps last?
This will depend on how often they are used but generally they will last up to 3 months with the right care.
